Dr. Margaret Quinn, Programme Manager, ERNACT Network
Margaret Quinn
Margaret is a highly experienced Project/Programme Manager with a track record of managing innovative and complex IT implementation projects in med-tech, logistics and digital marketing fields. Her experience includes 8 years as project lead on EU framework projects. Margaret has a Mathematics degree from Oxford University, an MBA from the Open University, and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Southampton University. She has PRINCE2 and PRINCE2 Agile certifications. Previously she worked for Cirdan Ireland and technology companies in Belgium and Italy.
ERNACT Network
ERNACT is an acronym for European Regions Network for the Application of Communications Technology.
The regions within ERNACT have been working together since 1990 to help decentralise the benefits of the Digital Agenda to regions within the European Union.
The network is practical and project driven, and has a successful track record in assisting participating regions to participate in EU interregional, transnational and crossborder Digital Agenda related programmes and community initiatives including INTERREG IIIB, IIIC and the Framework Programmes.
We have long established region-friendly management structures, project development and management systems and a professional and multinational staff team located at our European network administration unit in Ireland.

Leah’s position gives her a nationwide view of the role of Digital Innovation Hubs in our start-up ecosystem. Learn more about 'Connected Hubs', an initiative of the Government of Ireland, which is creating since 2020 a network of 400 hubs under the 'Our Rural Future' programme.

Mícheál is responsible for the development the Digital Economy in the Gaeltacht regions and the development of the national gteic digital hub network. He has headhunted Senior and Executive level Finance and IT professionals in an international capacity for over ten years.

Micheál Ó Duibhir
Mícheál Ó Duibhir is a Development Officer at Údarás na Gaeltachta and is responsible for the development the Digital Economy in the Gaeltacht regions. He has particular responsibility for the development of the national gteic digital hub network. Prior to working at Údarás na Gaeltachta, he headhunted Senior and Executive level Finance and IT professionals in an international capacity. He has also worked in managerial positions in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors.
Údarás na Gaeltachta
Údarás na Gaeltachta is the regional authority responsible for the economic, social and cultural development of Ireland's Gaeltacht region. Its overall objective is to ensure that Irish remains the main communal language of the Gaeltacht and is passed on to future generations.
The Údarás endeavours to achieve that objective by funding and fostering a wide range of enterprise development and job creation initiatives and by supporting strategic language, cultural and community based activities.
The organisation supports businesses in developing new markets, technologies, products and strategic alliances through research and development. Gaeltacht companies span a range of commercial sectors including – life sciences, ICT, tourism, fish processing and aquaculture, renewable energy, food, niche manufacturing, audio visual and digital media, arts and crafts
